Mr. Li Xiaosan, member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Organization Department of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, has investigated Yunnan Commercial Representative Office in Manila, the Philippines (hereinafter referred to as Yunnan ORO) from Dec.2 to Dec.4, 2018. He affirmed the previous work of Yunnan ORO and also made requirements for the next step.
Mr. Li Xiaosan inspected the display of “Yunnan Green Products” and the introduction of China Copper, China Yunnan Corp. for Intl. Techno-Economic Coop. and Yunnan ORO in the office. He listened to the reports on enterprise development, project advancement, team building and Party building from Mr. Yao Zhihua, member of the Standing Committee and Vice President of China Copper Group Holding Co., Ltd., and Mr. Liu Wei, Executive Director, General Manager, and Secretary of the Party Committee of China Yunnan Corp. for Intl. Techno-Economic Coop.. He also had a detailed understanding of work and life of overseas personnel.
Mr. Li Xiaosan pointed out that the Philippines has good market prospects. After three years’ exploration and accumulation, Yunnan ORO has gained remarkable achievements. China Copper is the first central enterprise headquartered in Yunnan, which has made great contributions to the economic development of Yunnan. As early as 2015, it has laid out the market in the Philippines ahead of schedule with a good market vision. He hopes that China Copper will continue to make persistent efforts for economic and trade cooperation between the Philippines and Yunnan.
Mr. Li Xiaosan put forward the following three requirements. Firstly, it’s necessary to organize all the Yunnan enterprises in the Philippines to establish Overseas Party Organization as soon as possible, so as to let the Party Organization can play an active role in economic and trade cooperation, enterprise development and team building. Secondly, Yunnan ORO should actively integrate into the local community, comply with local laws, and ensure the safety of people and property. Finally, Yunnan ORO should actively establish in-depth ties and profound friendship with local Chinese and overseas Chinese, further strengthen contacts with Chinese-funded enterprises and institutions, and enrich resources so as to lay a good foundation for Yunnan enterprises to “go out” and for the development of China Copper and China Yunnan Corp. for Intl. Techno-Economic Coop. in the Philippines.
It is understood that Mr. Li Xiaosan also conducted research and investigation in relevant enterprises and institutions in the Philippines, accompanied by Mr. Zhou Rong, Director-General of Department of Education of Yunnan Province, Mr. Lin Wenxun, President of Yunnan University, Mr. Zhang Wenwang, Member of the Executive Committee and Organization Department, CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, Mr. Cui Huanyong, Director of Passport and Visa Division of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, Mr. Wu Qing, Deputy Director of General Office of Organization Department.
