Mr. Yao Zhihua, member of the Standing Committee and Vice President of China Copper Group Holding Co., Ltd., has investigated the Philippine market from Dec.1 to Dec.4, 2018. During the investigation, he visited relevant Chinese agencies in the Philippines and had extensive conversations with some government departments and enterprises in the Philippines.

During his stay in the Philippines, Mr. Yao Zhihua was received by Mr. Tan Qingsheng, Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, and Mr. Jin Yuan, Counsellor of Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy. Mr. Yao introduced the development history and business situation of China Copper, focusing on reporting the initiative and direction for creating an “Overseas China Copper”. Both Mr. Tan Qingsheng and Mr. Jin Yuan said that China-Philippines relations are now at a stage of comprehensive upgrading, a good time for economic development with obvious potential for development and more dynamic bilateral economic exchanges. They hoped that China Copper will give full play to the advantages of professional capacity in resource development and promote economic cooperation and development between China and the Philippines.

In addition, Mr. Yao Zhihua paid a visit to Mr. Shi Gongqi, Special Envoy of Philippine President Duterte and Chairman of Liwayway Group, and Wilfredo G. Moncano, Acting Director of Mines and Geosciences Bureau of Department of Environment and Natural Resources of the Philippines. He also held conversation with local Filipino enterprises such as Philippine Mining Development Corporation and Sagittarius Mines, INC., during which he gave a detailed introduction of the business development, technical strength and future development plan of China Copper and discussed in depth with them the development and cooperation of copper, gold, lead, and zinc etc. The leaders of Philippine government departments and enterprises highly recognized the technical strength, production capacity and development potential of China Copper in the field of non-ferrous metals, and expressed their willingness to further explore opportunities for cooperation and development in the field of non-ferrous metals so as to achieve win-win cooperation at an early date.
