In the “13th Five-Year Plan”, it is put forward to strengthening the development of seven leading industries including sightseeing, Ieisure and vacation, health preservation, special entertainment, commerce exhibition, shopping, catering and accommodation, promoting the integrated development of “tourism plus”, giving full play to release the potential of tourism as a driving force. Yunnan will focus on the development of cultural industries including news media, publication, distribution and printing, song and dance performance, film & television and music & video, advertising and cultural leisure and recreation, develop the traditional culture and art with ethnic and local characteristics and encourage creating quality cultural products, boost the deep integration of tourism and culture, promote the cultural connotation of tourism development and develop new business model of tourism culture.
According to the Plan. It is proposed that the total number of tourists will exceed 600 million and the total revenue will exceed RMB 1 trillion in 2020.
